The Income-Tax (I-T) department stated on Saturday that the central government has developed three dedicated email accounts for income taxpayers to report concerns connected to faceless tax assessment, penalty, and appeals. The three email-ids launched by the Income Tax Department are as follows.

- samadhan.faceless.penalty@incometax.gov.in
- samadhan.faceless.appeal@incometax.gov.in
“In a move aimed at further improving taxpayer services in accordance with the Taxpayers’ Charter, the Income Tax Department develops dedicated email ids for reporting concerns in respect of outstanding cases under the Faceless Scheme,” the department stated in a tweet.
Income tax launching dedicated emails to support Faceless Methods
The Income Tax Department implemented technology-driven faceless methods to make tax administration transparent and to end overreach by personnel, in accordance with the charter’s goals for the ministry.
On July 5, 2019, finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman delivered the first budget that included the faceless tax processing system that Prime Minister Narendra Modi initially promised in 2017.
