In the COVID pandemic, the ministry of Corporate affairs extended AGM due date 30th September 2020 from 31st December 2020. However, there was no announcement towards the extension of filing ROC Annual Return and regarding the penalty of annual financial statement. MCA Notifies ROC Date Extention
Keeping in view of several requests from the stakeholders, the Ministry of Corporate Affairs has announced the new notification for all the Regional directors, the Registrar of the companies, and the stakeholders regarding relaxation on levy of penalty for extension of filing ROC Annual Return due dates. In ROC annual return filing, there is a provision of the penalty and additional fees which vary on the period of 30 days after the AGM meeting i.e 31st December 2020.
Now the most awaited extension of filing ROC Annual Return due dates announced by MCA. It has been decided that no penalty shall be levied up to 15.02.2021 for the filing of e-forms AOC-4, AOC-4 (CFS), AOC-4 XBRL and AOC-4 Non-XBRL in respect of the financial year ended on 31st March 2020. During the stated period, only normal fees shall be payable for the filing of the aforementioned e-forms. Read Official Notification Here
