The Department of Expenditure has published the twelfth weekly instalment of Rs 6,000 crore to the States and Union Territories to appear the GST compensation shortfall. Out of this, a number of Rs 5,516.60 crore has been published to 23 States and a whole of Rs 483.40 crore has delivered to the three Union Territories including Legislative Assembly Delhi, Jammu and Kashmir and Puducherry who are members of the GST Council.

The enduring five states, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland and Sikkim do not have a gap in revenue on the declaration of GST implementation.

Further Clarification by GST Council

Till now, 65 per cent of the total approximated GST compensation shortfall has been issued to the States and UTs with the Legislative Assembly. Out of this, a cost of Rs 65,582.96 crore has issued to the States and a number of Rs 6,417.04 crore has been issued to the three Union Territories with the Legislative Assembly.
