All GS1 barcode registrations have a specific validity period. Thus, it’s essential to renew your GS1 barcode Registration before it expires. This ensures that your barcodes remain valid, you retain access to your DataKart account, and enable validation of your barcode numbers through various GS1 repositories.
Renew Your Barcode Registration in 3 Simple Steps
1. Check Renewal Fees
Renewing your Barcode Registration for a longer duration can lead to greater savings. You can check the renewal fees in two ways:
- Download Renewal Fees: Click here to download the renewal fees structure. https://www.gs1india.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/GCP_renewal_fees_effective_from_1st_July_2024.pdf
- Fee Calculator: Use the fee calculator available on GS1 Barcode Registration Website: GS1 India: Barcode Subscription Renewal by entering the number of barcodes and the number of years to calculate your renewal fee.
2. Pay Fees
You can pay your renewal fees using one of the following methods:
- Online: Using internet banking, credit card, debit card, or UPI.
- NEFT: Transfer funds directly from your bank account.
- Demand Draft or Pay Orders:
- Ensure your demand draft or pay order is made out to GS1 India.
- Include your account details for seamless processing.
Important Notes:
- Renewing your GS1 Registration before its expiry grants you an extra three months of validity (applicable for renewal of 3/5/10 years).
- Renewing within 15 days of the expiry date avoids any penalty. After 15 days, a penalty of ₹1,180 will be charged for the next 30 days. Beyond this period, your barcode Registration will be terminated for non-payment of renewal fees.
3. Send Confirmation
After making the payment, fill out the Renewal Payment Confirmation Form to complete the renewal process.
Note: Companies or organisations that fail to renew their barcode Registration and continue using GS1 barcodes beyond their validity period may face legal action from GS1 India for violating the terms of use.
By following these simple steps, you can ensure that your GS1 barcode Registration remains active, keeping your business operations smooth and compliant with regulatory requirements.
