He said that the Sri Kanaka Mahalakshmi temple at Burujupeta and Sri Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple at Simhachalam had given a lot to Visakhapatnam city.

Sri Kanaka Mahalakshmi ( SKML )temple is more than 100 years old. Dhakji Dadaji, a Hindu merchant, had built the SKML temple in 1831. When an army of enemies attempted an attack on Visakha kings, they demolished the temple of Sri Kanaka Mahalakshmi present in the fort and they had thrown the goddess into a well. After some time Some devotees saw a dream in which a goddess appeared. These devotees wanted to install the idol of the goddess without a roof.
This temple has idols of the 3 goddesses which are Tridevi goddesses Mahakali, Mahalakshmi, and Mahasaraswati. The ornaments of these idols are nose rings, gold bangles, and pearl necklaces.
