Amid the crisis of Novel Coronavirus disease aka COVID-19 infection, our government has now released Lockdown 5.0 guidelines.
After carefully reviewing the results of the Lockdown 4.0 on the COVID-19 situation, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), has now released a notification under the Disaster Management Act, 2005, for further extending the Lockdown. The Lockdown 5.0 also called Unlock 1 shall continue in Containment zones till 30th June 2020.
However, the MHA has decided that the prohibited activities in Containment zones shall be reopened in a phased manner. Refer to the MHA notification.
Let us understand in detail how prohibited activities in Containment zones can be resumed in different phases during Lockdown 5.0 aka Unlock 1:
#Phase 1: Activities may be resumed from 8 June
Following activities might be resumed from 8th June 2020:
- Religious places
- Hotels,
- Restaurants and other hospitality Services
- Shopping malls
#Phase 2: Activities may be resumed from July
Following activities might be resumed in July 2020:
- Schools and colleges, after consulting with parents
- Other educational institutions
- Training centers
- Coaching centers
#Phase 3: Other Activities might be resumed after assessment
After a thorough review of the COVID-19 situation, the following activities shall also be resumed:
- International air travel of passengers,
- Metro rail service
- cinema halls,
- gymnasium,
- entertainment parks,
- theatres
- auditoriums,
- assembly halls or community centers
Social, political, sports, entertainment, academic, cultural, and religious gatherings can also be resumed only after the thorough assessment.
These are the coronavirus India updates. The government’s decision to allow certain activities in Lockdown 5.0 or Unlock 1 gives a ray of hope that India might gradually come back to a normal situation very soon.
