Step 1: Visit the official DGFT website at dgft.gov.in and navigate to the ‘Services’ tab on the homepage.
Step 2: Select ‘IEC Profile Management’ from the drop-down menu under services. Alternatively, use the direct link: https://www.dgft.gov.in/CP/?opt=iec-profile-management if you’re not logged in.
Step 3: Explore the options on the page related to IEC prerequisites and processes. Scroll down until you find the ‘Surrender IEC’ option.
Step 4: Login with your registered email address and password on the ‘Surrender IEC’ page. If you don’t have an existing account, you can create a new profile by providing details like your mobile number, pin code, district, state, and city.
Step 5: After logging in, verify and input relevant business details such as PAN number and firm name. Click on ‘surrender’ to proceed.
Step 6: Upon successful completion, the IEC will be suspended, and it will no longer be valid for future transactions.
