The ESIC scheme adds Approximately 10.41 lakh latest members to the social security system in April 2021, providing an opinion on Formal sector service in the nation.

According to recent data, gross enrolments in ESIC from 2020 to 2021 fall almost 24% to 1.15 crore. It is among the pandemic despite 1.51 crore in 2019 to 20.

The recent data is a report released by the National Statistical Office. The authority had forced in March the previous year to have widened the number of covid infections. After that, limits eased for several economic actions on the stage.

The report of NSO demonstrates that gross enrolment of the latest subscribers with ESIC stood at 1.49 crore from 2018 to 19. From September 2017 to March 2018, almost 83.35 lakh latest subscribers had connected the system of ESIC.

The gross latest enrolments with Employees State Insurance Corporation from September 2017 to April 2021 was five crores by NSO.

A statement is based upon payroll data of the latest subscribers of several social safety plans operated by ESIC, EPFO, and PFRDA.

The officials have released the data of these bodies from April 2018 that covers the time beginning from September 2017. According to the statement, net latest enrolments with retirement finance body EPFO stand at 12 lakh in April.
