An objection of the Coffee Board of India is to regulate the nationwide business of coffee growing, distribution and trading. The Government of India had established the Coffee Board under Coffee Act VII in 1942.
Coffee Board of India covers the entire supply chain of the coffee sector. It supports R&D, technology, quality management, and export promotion of coffee in the Indian market.

The Registration Cum Membership Certificate (RCMC) of Coffee Board is valid for 3 years from the date of obtaining Registration.
A coffee exporter from India can not export coffee outside India without obtaining Export Permit (Form-C) from Coffee Board of India under Rule 44(2) Coffee Act 1942

Following rules must be kept in mind for Coffee Board Registration:
All Coffee exporters have to get an export permit along with a Certificate of Origin from the Coffee Board of India.
Coffee exporter having a Coffee board registration can file the Export Permit Application (EPA) on:- www.indiacoffee.org/permit. He can then obtain the Export Permit (Form-C) as well as the Certificate of Origin.

The post-shipment documents shall be submitted to the Coffee Board within 45 days from the date of the issue of export permits.
