MCA Extends the due date for filing MSME FORM-I
The government has so far taken many concrete steps towards its mission of empowerment of the MSMEs. Besides, the government has given strong legal support to all the Indian small traders and the MSMEs.
In this context, the Ministry of Corporate Affairs had recently notified that all those companies, who had procured supplies of goods & services from the MSMEs but they did not give their payments as yet, will need to furnish a half yearly return to the Ministry. This half-yearly return is to be filed in MSME FORM-I and will state all the details and reasons for the delay in payment to the MSMEs.
MCA has now extended the due date for filing of MSME FORM-I.
#1. What is the due date for filing of MSME FORM-I?
The due date for filing of MSME FORM-I is extended. Now, the period of 30 days shall be calculated from the date of deployment of the Form MSME-I on the MCA Portal rather than from the 21 February 2019, that is the date when the notification was given.
#2. What we have to include in MSME FORM-I?
The Central Government had notified on the 2nd November 2018 that all those companies, who have taken supplies of goods or services or both from the Micro and Small & Medium Enterprises who are having an MSME registration, but payments of whom are still due, shall submit a half yearly return to the Ministry of Corporate Affairs. This return will include the following details:
