MCA introduces New Company Incorporation e-Form SPICe+

The Ministry of Corporate Affairs has already made relevant amendments to the general provisions for company incorporation, in order to increase the convenience in business compliance. Recently, MCA has introduced the compact e-Form SPICe+, which will help the new startup entrepreneurs to accomplish necessary several business compliances through a single form.

Let us understand in detail about the new e-Form SPICe+.

1. What is SPICe+?

Simplified Proforma for Incorporating Company Electronically plus (SPICe+) is a compact e-Form for company incorporation. This e-form will offer the following integrated compliance services viz.

Company name reservation,
company incorporation,
DIN allotment,
mandatory PAN registration
TAN registration,
EPF registration,
ESIC registration,
Profession Tax registration (in case of Maharashtra) and
Opening of Company Bank Account.

2. Why SPICe+ form is introduced?

As a part of the noteworthy initiatives directed towards increasing Ease of Doing Business, the Ministry of Corporate Affairs has now brought the all-inclusive e-Form SPICe+. The SPICe+ shall replace the existing SPICe form. The MCA shall shortly notify and deploy a new Web Form ‘SPICe+’ on the MCA21 portal.

3. What else is covered in SPICe+ form?

Here are some more features that are included in SPICe+ form:

The SPICe+ form shall also facilitate the online GST registration if it has been applied for by the applicant.
Furthermore, upon the deployment of e-form SPICe+, a facility for the change of name of existing companies shall also be made applicable.
All the new company name reservations, as well as new applications for company incorporation, shall be applied only through the SPICe+ form.
However, the company incorporation in the case of those companies whose names are reserved through the existing SPICe form shall continue to be filed as applicable.
If such companies are marked under resubmission, it shall be done in the existing SPICe e-form.
