CBDT Extends the due date for ITR Filing for Kerala flood Victims

In the hustle and bustle of the ITR Filing last date rush about a month ago, a sudden moment of relaxation had arisen among the taxpayers when the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) had delayed the deadline for Income Tax Returns filing from July 31, 2018, to August 31, 2018.

Once again, CBDT has deferred the deadline for ITR Filing from August 31, 2018, to 15 September 2018. This time, the authorities have taken this action in the wake of the Kerala floods that have caused disruption in the Income Tax Returns filing mechanism.

Thus, the due date for the ITR Filing has been further extended for the State of Kerala.

The Income Tax Department has recently tweeted in this respect-
