CBIC Extends Due Dates for GSTR-1 & GSTR-7
Taking note of the hindrances and technical glitches being faced by the individual taxpayers, the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) has now extended the deadline for GST return filing in Form GSTR-1 as well as GSTR-7 for March 2019.
1. What is the current due date to file March GSTR-1 return?
The CBIC has notified that ​​the details​​ of​​ outward​​ supply​​ of​​ goods​​ &​​ services​​​​ in​​ FORM​​ GSTR-1​​ for​​ the ​​month​​ of​​ March​​ 2019​​ has been now extended from 10th ​April​​ to ​​13th​​ April​​ 2019. This is for those taxpayers having GST registration with an aggregate turnover exceeding ₹1.5 Crores.

2. What is the current due date to file March GSTR-7 return?
The​​ CBIC has also​​ extended the last date​​ for​​ GST return filing for the tax deductors under GST. The current due date to file GSTR-7 return for the month of March 2019 has been extended from 10th April to 12th April​​ 2019.

3. Who has to file GSTR-7 return?
The​​ GSTR-7 return​​ is to be filed by​​ the individual​​ having GST registration, who is supposed​​ to​​ deduct​​ tax​​ at​​ source​​ as per the​​ provisions​​ of​​ Section​​ 51​​ of​​​​ CGST​​ Act​​ 2017.
4. Why has GST return filing due date been extended?
